About Myself:	I am a writer, a lover of literature and life, and a graduate of the University of Texas. I was born in Tehran. My family's background is a unique one. After my dad's death when I was a small child, my mother brought my brother and me to the United States, and raised us here by herself. We settled in Austin. I have only traveled back to Iran one time, when I was fifteen. Over the years, as a result of circumstance, I lost connection with my roots. I am grateful that is changing now. My grandfather, who came with us 25 years ago, recently passed away. His memorial reconnected me with the Iranian American community, and many people that I had known since I was a child. These days I am reading a great deal about Iran, and watching the cinema of the country. I would like to improve my Farsi, and eventually learn how to read and write the language. One day, I know I have to take another trip to Iran. I want to learn more about my dad, and my grandfather, and the greater past that has shaped me. I realized that my life partner may very well be an Iranian man. I hope to find a close friend, and I hope we can help one other by sharing the best parts of our life experiences.
